The 2027 Invitational is the first county competition in Fusionball. Every team that enters is a founding team, and every member of it is an owner. Rugby clubs, flag football squads, unit teams, college clubs, and groups of friends who can put fifteen players and a coach on a field are all welcome.
Founding members pay a buy-in set at cost recovery only: the team's sanction fee, player registration (which covers accident insurance), and kit. Under the current year-one model that works out to roughly $200 to $300 per member; the exact number is published before registration opens.
League surplus above published operating costs goes back to teams by finish position. On top of that, every team gets a sales code: a share of every ticket, season pass, and merchandise item sold through it goes straight to the team's treasury, whatever its finish.
This is a season of a new sport with equity attached, not an investment. Founding units are the cheapest they will ever be, if the sport grows. Read it as a bet, not a return.
